Fantasy Football: The Phinest Waiver Wire Adds – Week 15

The playoffs are here! Hopefully, you were able to make it to your league’s fantasy playoffs too. It’s been a tough journey, full of ups and downs but the job is not finished. And that goes for you guys that have got the first-round byes too. With most league trade deadlines already past and Covid knocking out players left and right, you need to be thinking ahead and looking over your fantasy teams to make sure you have the right amount of depth on your roster to be the last man standing at the end of the season. So while you should be patting yourself on the back because you made the fantasy playoffs, it’s time to get to work.

This weeks’ waiver wire could be crucial for fantasy managers as, if you’ve been paying attention in your 12 team leagues, the wire could be looking a bit sparse. Despite that possibility, you should always be checking for someone to make a mistake and drop players they may feel aren’t going to cut it. People make mistakes like that more than you would believe. I’m filling in for Conner this week so I have a few players you need to be searching the wire for this week to get ready to take on your league and take that next step in going for the championship this season.

(Roster percentages via NFL Fantasy)

Gabriel Davis, WR – BUF

This one burns me up because before the season started, I was all in on Davis having a breakout year. Then the Bills signed WR Emmanuel Sanders and all but killed that notion. But now with Sanders dealing with a knee injury and already being ruled out for Week 15, Davis roll should extend for another week to the start of the playoffs (if your commissioner made the changes to start on Week 15).

Sanders has been banged up, Davis saw an increase in snaps playing 83% in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Davis should slide right into the Bills three-wide receiver sets with Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. Davis had his best game in Week 14, posting a 5/43/1 line on eight targets.

Rashaad Penny, RB – SEA

What in the actual heck went down with Penny on Sunday!?! Did anyone see that coming? The Seahawks let Rashaad Penny loose on the poor Houston Texans and he proceeded to run all over them in that game. Penny stomped his way to an 8.6 y/a and finished with 137 yards and two touchdowns in just 16 carries. After that performance, as well as the fact that Alex Collins has done next to nothing with the starting role after the Seahawks lost a starter, Chris Carson, for the season, Penny is in the driver seat of the Seahawks run game.

Penny is available and I shouldn’t have to explain how important having a potential bellcow back would be on any fantasy roster right now.

Roster Percentage: 1.6%

Breshad Perriman, WR – TB

This one may or may not shock folks but with the rumors surrounding Antonio Brown’s future with the Bucs up in the air, this one may be worth looking into. Antonio Brown was suspended after the fake Covid card investigation and will miss Week 15 as part of a three-game suspension for the offense. Bruce Arians has said that he won’t speak on the future of Brown until after he comes back from suspension so it’s anyone’s guess what could happen at this point. What we do know is that Perriman has been the third wide receiver for the Bucs after Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Perriman’s work isn’t great right now but this could be a “stash” situation if Antonio Brown is indeed let go.

Roster Percentage: Unrostered

DaVante Parker, WR – MIA

DeVante Parker is back from injured reserve and was able to make it through Week 13 with no setbacks. With the bye also adding in some rest for Parker to continue to be at 100%, Parker could be a nice spot start for a fantasy managers squad as the Dolphins take on the New York Jets in Week 15.

In Week 13 vs. the Giants, Parker went 5 for 5, 62 yards. At worst, Parker is a flex option with upside and if you’re dealing with Covid injuries like the loss of Odell Beckham or Jarvis Landry, who are currently on the NFL’s Covid Protocol, Parker may be your guy.

Rostered Percentage: 19.7%

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB – NE

Here’s a name that should be familiar as he’s been on our list a few weeks ago. Apparently, folks didn’t get the hint. Yes, Damien Harris is back in the starting role but he’s banged up, dealing with a hamstring injury that slowed him down a bit in terms of playing time against the Buffalo Bills. Stevenson stepped in and became the Patriots rushing attack, getting 24 carries in that game. If you’re a Harris manager, you should already have Stevenson on your roster just in case. If not, he’s available in 73% of NFL fantasy leagues. So make sure you’re doing your due diligence and making sure he’s on your team.

Rostered Percentage: 27%
